Academic coaching & Mentoring
- Provide support for students who may be struggling academically, socially, emotionally, or behaviorally
- Teach and support students in developing & utilizing executive functioning skills: time management, organization, planning/prioritizing, task initiation-sustained attention, self-awareness, working memory, stress management, advocacy, socio-emotional support, motivation & goal persistence
- Work with students using their individual needs, learning styles, and current schoolwork to create systems and strategies that lead to personal and academic growth, improved academic success, confidence, and autonomy
- Model and teach skills necessary for students to develop social and academic skills, to self advocate, and to bridge the gap between student, parent, and teacher
- Specialize in ADHD & Learning Disabilities/ Difficulties
Teaching/tutoring Homeschool & Virtual Learning assistance
- Support for individual or multiple courses; home or virtual sessions available
- Support development of remedial and grade level skills using students current course workload
- Assistance with classwork and homework completion, study skills and strategies, note-taking, project planning, reading and writing strategies, and managing use of independent work time
- Specialize in secondary subjects including: History, Science, Social Sciences, English & AP US History. Psychology & Capstone
College prep Coaching
- Assist students with the college application process including researching, applying, completing supplemental requirements, personal statements, and essay writing
- Coach students to create goals and plans for the application process and stay on track with tasks and due dates
